Best described as nu-grunge/rock...but with class.
Formed in 2003 from the ashes of other South
East London bands, Mitch are best known for their
stunning live performences, which are full of
energy each note and lyric are performed with
total conviction and soul.
The future looks bright for the band, with gigs
all around London, airplay on Totalrock Radio
& Braingell Radio, two EPs available and two
new MP3s currently available.
As mentioned, the live shows are where Mitch
really come into their own.
Their finest moments have come from a sold out
Sound gig at Leicester Sq, stunning sets at the Roadhouse in Covent Garden,
and playing at the 2005 Strumpfest
hosted in the Borderline Club, where they were on the bill with bands such as
Roadstar (formerly Hurricane Party) and Thunder.
After a brief hiatus in 2005, mitch aquired a new bassist
in the shape of Jim who joins the line up.
The band went into the studios early 2006 to record the 'Sold my soul to the commercial World' demo/EP. Then in May mitch parted ways with drummer Glenn. After a couple of months it wasnt long before they found the perfect replacement in the form of Justin. With his ability to instantly find the groove of a song, as well as to learn and adapt very quickly, he really was the perfect candidate for mitch.
Next time you hear that Mitch are playing near
you, go out, get some beers in and rock out to
one of Londons most exciting bands!
